Talking Heads - Dance Like Me: A Stop Making Sense Companion Zine (Book)

The 23rd issue of the zine published by A24 Films, an independent film production company based in New York that is attracting attention from movie fans, is available on the distributor's website as "Talking Heads - Dance Like Me: A Stop Making Sense Companion Zine," a 40th anniversary issue of the Talking Heads concert film "Stop Making Sense" directed by Jonathan Demme!

Titled "The Complete Guide to Dancing Like David Byrne," the book provides a detailed introduction to the traditional Japanese performing arts that are said to have inspired the costumes, dance, and other performances in the play, with comparative photos of the performance in the play to help readers better understand how much of an influence they had.

Mitski, who performed a duet with David Byrne, and choreographer Jaslin also introduce the choreography, which was inspired by Japanese butoh, with photographs, in a 36-page booklet designed in the style of a Japanese film program (the dimensions are approximately 227mm, 152mm, and 3mm thick, respectively).

This is an official zine published by "A 24 Films," the studio behind the 4K restoration of the legendary film "Stop Making Sense," which has many enthusiastic fans, making it a highly collectible book!
