I'm going on a business trip to set up a pop-up store for "CASSETTE WEEK MARKET 2026"!
Although we've already announced it on our store blog (link below), we'd like to reiterate it here.
By good fortune, Musique69 will be opening a pop-up store at the "CASSETTE WEEK" market, organized by the CASSETTE WEEK secretariat, a cassette tape festival to be held in Tokyo on the upcoming holiday, October 12th!

Musique69 to open a store at "CASSETTE WEEK MARKET 2026" in Tokyo
The "CASSETTE WEEK" commemorative week (during which many limited edition cassette tapes will be released), which promotes the revival of cassette tapes, will be held from October 11th to 17th. The market where we will be exhibiting is "CASSETTE WEEK MARKET 2026," a one-day event where over 30 stores will bring together and sell cassette tapes, records, audio equipment, and related goods.
We are very honored to have been invited to participate, given that there aren't many stores exhibiting, especially since we are located in Osaka. We will be making our first business trip to Tokyo with Musique69 staff, filled with joy to be with all of you in such an enthusiastic space.
On the day of the event, we hope to have the opportunity to see the products of other stores exhibiting at the market and interact with their staff. We look forward to meeting everyone.
Musique69 manager belongs to a generation that has been deeply immersed in the charm of cassette tapes and records since junior high school. As I've written in a previous column about records, I was simultaneously absorbed in the appeal of cassettes. This is an old story, but I not only owned many music tapes, but I also recall frequently buying various blank tapes in bulk (going back and forth between normal-type1, chrome-type2, ferrochrome-type3, and metal tape-type4)...
Currently, as the store manager of Musique69, a job that combines hobby and business, I have been expanding our lineup of unique products, primarily focusing on music software not generally distributed in Japan, including cassette tapes. As a long-time collector myself, I find it enjoyable and gratifying to see the store's selection gradually grow.
Among these, cassette tapes boast a proud selection, as it's a format I've particularly focused on for the past decade. Since our store has always been an online-only shop, we rarely have the opportunity for customers to see our products directly, so I'm looking forward to this rare occasion.
The event venue, "WPÜ HOTEL SHINJUKU," is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station on various lines (1 minute walk from Shinjuku-nishiguchi Station D5 exit on the Oedo Line, 2 minutes walk from Shinjuku Station D3 exit on the Marunouchi Line, 5 minutes walk from Shinjuku Station West Exit on the JR Line).
Even if it's just a side trip, please gather your cassette tape-loving friends and come visit us. All the staff look forward to meeting you.
