Electric Angels - Lost in the Atlantic: Limited Addiction (CD)

"ELECTRIC ANGELS - Lost in the Atlantic: Limited Addiction" was released in 2017 as a CD collection of Electric Angels' unreleased recordings.

Electric Angels was formed by Ryan Roxie, Jonathan Daniel, and John Shubert, members of the power pop band CANDY (which also featured Gilby Clarke, who later joined Guns N' Roses), who were hugely popular in the area, and who welcomed lead vocalist Shane.

Electric Angels are: Shane, Jonathan Daniel, Ryan Roxie & John Schubert.

The band's songs, which could be said to be a mix of the best parts of 80's glam, power pop, and hard rock, are addictive. In 1990, they debuted as a major new heavy rock band produced by superstar producer Tony Visconti, and released a power pop masterpiece. They also released the hit song "Rattlesnake Kisses."

However, it was a time of warring states, when many hard rock/heavy metal bands debuted and then disappeared in the blink of an eye. Perhaps their glamorous 80s visuals were a curse, as they were swallowed up by the times and unfortunately disappeared from the public eye.

Time has passed and 25 years have passed.

With official license from the band, all 14 tracks recorded for the second album were digitally remastered and released on CD for the first time in 2017. The 12-page booklet contains lyrics for all the songs as well as a 3,000-word biography by drummer John Shubert (an interesting memoir written by the band members themselves at the center of the controversy).

As this was released by an American indie label, it was hardly available in Japan (except at the time of release), so our store responded to persistent requests. If you are an Electric Angels/Shane/Ryan Roxie fan who doesn't have this album yet, don't miss this opportunity!
