【What is a Flexi-Disc?】

A flexi-disc, also known as a "sonosheet" or "phonosheet," refers to a thin, flexible record (7-inch is common, but several sizes exist). Of course, it can be played on a standard record player.
However, unlike a regular record, it is much thinner, a very thin vinyl disc that is flexible enough to be easily bent. Due to its production cost advantages, it was a familiar format for music fans of the time, often seen as a magazine supplement until around the 1980s.
In addition to music, various audio, such as talks and messages from celebrities, were also distributed, making it a more niche and retro format that coexisted even during the heyday of records (who would have thought that popular artists of the 2000s would choose this format for new releases!).
