This is the mini-album LP "The Georgia Satellites - Keep the Faith" released by Making Waves in the UK in 1985, before the Georgia Satellites made their major debut with Elektra (second-hand condition: VG jacket/VG disc).
At the time, the band consisted of four members, including Dan Baird and Rick Richards. Although the future ironclad rhythm section was not yet in existence, the golden duo of Dan and Rick was already born!
"The Georgia Satellites" are:
- Dan Baird (vocals, guitar)
- Rick Richards (guitars, vocals)
- Dave Hewitt (bass guitar)
- Randy Delay (drums)
As you can see, the tracks on this album are two each from the first album "The Georgia Satellites" and the third album "In the Land of Salvation and Sin." It's impressive that they were performed before the later major productions, and are already more rough-edged!

For listening purposes, the LP version of this title is far more recommended than the CD, as it offers the high-sound-pressure sound with the compression characteristic of analog records (although the jacket has peeled off over the years and looks old-fashioned). However, in an era when the mainstream media format is shifting from analog records to CDs, if you are looking to collect it, the CD version, which was pressed in small numbers at the time, is even rarer, so don't miss either one!
